FIA is the one place I've found that actually brings all segments of our industry, all the parties involved, into one room at one time for open discussion. The outcome is refreshing: shared ideas, a much more complete discussion and investigation, far better understanding and hence more effective outcomes. This is exciting territory to explore. Rather than taking anything away from any other organizations I belong to, FIA adds value to all.

About

Vision Teams are the cornerstones of the Foodservice Institute of America. They’re groups of engaged and involved members working together to ensure that FIA delivers real value to its members with unique, relevant programs and services. The Goal: Bringing our community together as ONE.

All FIA members are encouraged and invited to participate on one or more Vision Teams. Options include:

  • F/SOne – build an organization that encompasses consultants, operators/end-users, manufacturers, their reps, equipment contractors and educators.
  • LeadershipOne – Team members will provide oversight and strategic direction for the organization, including the establishment of criteria and guidelines for election or appointment of a board of directors.
  • MembershipOne – Team members will develop strategies and tactics to facilitate and support the on-going development of FIA membership to include all segments of the foodservice community, including consultants/designers, operators/end users, manufacturers and their reps, equipment contractors, chefs, educators and students.
  • GroupOne – create a program to provide benefits and value to members through facilitation of discounted group purchasing for services such as insurance, computer hardware and software, and office products.
  • EducateOne – develop various educational programs that provide continuing educational opportunities for existing members, create programs to attract new members, and provide educational resources to students/faculty.
  • FocusOne – create entities and programs to support and enhance the industry, such as manufacturers’ advisory board, design/technical advisory board, speakers bureau and new member mentor advisory board.
  • SpecOne – develop a single-source specification program that provides value and benefit to end-users and is a means to promote industry reinvestment in products, people and education.
  • ShareOne – compile industry tools to support and promote the sharing of ideas, information and resources via member-accessible web-based project reporting and tracking, online industry statistics, and interactive ShareOne Forums.
  • BrandOne – develop a multifaceted marketing plan with programs that educate industry and non-industry affiliates, end-users and potential new members about FIA, its programs and benefits.
